After wanting to visit Scandinavia for the longest time ever, I finally found myself in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. I must say that the city surpassed all my expectations, the streets, people and atmosphere, in general, make the place so colourful, vibrant and elating.
How I spent 48 Hours in Copenhagen:
Day one:
I flew into the city at around 14:00 and headed straight to my hostel to check in my luggage. I stayed at the city’s most popular hostel, https://www.steelhousecopenhagen.com, (I would definitely recommend this to anyone that visits the city, the hostel was beyond brilliant and super cheap considering how expensive the city is).
We then headed to Tivoli Gardens, Denmark’s biggest amusement park, which is also the second oldest amusement park in the world. At Tivoli, I experienced some super fun rides, arcade games and tried some tasty food!
Day two:
I kicked off day two by venturing into the city on a bicycle, the most ideal way to hop around Copenhagen. In just a few hours, I was able to complete most of the attractions the capital had to offer...

Started off with breakfast at Grød, a popular local breakfast joint and then headed towards The Little Mermaid, Amalienborg, The Round Tower, Rosenberg Castle and Church of Our Savior. The most exciting part was being able to spend the evening at Freetown Christiania, Copenhagen’s Hippie “Free Town”, completely independent of the Danish government. Then headed to strøget for some quick shopping after which I boarded a train to Malmo, Sweden.
