The next stop on my Solo Europe Adventure is Copenhagen, Denmark! Copenhagen is known as the happiest city in the world, and after my visit, I can see why! *filmed August 2019*
I was in Copenhagen for 3 days so I had to try and squeeze in a lot in a little time. My Airbnb was located outside of the city in Roskilde, Denmark which saved me a ton of money, because Copenhagen is EXPENSIVE! Luckily, I had an awesome Airbnb host who not gave me a list of must-see things in Copenhagen!
On Day 1, I walked no less than 7 miles while sightseeing, but it was totally worth it! I spent the majority of the day exploring central Copenhagen, but if you are doing the same, make sure you rent a scooter! I started my morning exploring Rundetaarn, also known as The Round Tower. Rundetaarn offers awesome views of Copenhagen on top of being an architectural marvel. Make sure that you stop in at the Trinitatis kirke (Trinitatis church), which is right off the side of the Rundetaarn.
Next up, I headed to The King's Garden and the beautiful Rosenborg castle, before visiting Amalienborg palace. I loved watching the Amalienborg Palace changing of the guards. From there I strolled down the waterfront taking in the sights of the Queen Mary statue, The Little Mermaid (nope, not that Little Mermaid), and so much more!
Come along with me as I explore Copenhagen, Denmark!
