Europe is grappling with immigration and far-right populism. Less than 10 percent of the total asylum seekers European countries committed to resettle from overcrowded camps in Italy and Greece in 2015 have been relocated. European countries are also divided on the best way to deal with the situation. In several EU member states, election campaigns are rife with growing anti-migrant, populist sentiment. French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has made it clear she will reduce the number of immigrants if she wins. In the Netherlands, Prime Minister Mark Rutte's center-right party beat far-right populist Geert Wilders, who had promised to close all mosques and ban the Koran. In Germany, the AfD, a right-wing party running on an anti-immigrant, anti-EU platform, is gaining more public support. Tian Wei sat down with Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen to hear his views on meeting these challenges head on, and on better trade prospects with China.
