Barnabas Wetton has helped to develop design techniques to approach political divisions in the Middle East. He believes, that if we want to use design, to make a change in the world, we have to learn – literally – to see things differently and more clearly.
Barnabas Wetton is Head of International Innovation at Designskolen Kolding, two of his teaching projects have been exhibited at MoMA, New York. He trained as an artist and teacher and has worked with development projects in Peru and from London established six schools in Tigray Province, Ethiopia. On moving to Denmark he reported for BBC World Service and wrote for the Guardian. His practice works in the field of tension between language and a sense of the collective.
