Meet Ganas, ZSL London Zoo's male Komodo dragon! Ganas came to ZSL London Zoo in 2015 from Denmark, and lives in the Attenborough Komodo Dragon House, which was renamed on 9 August to celebrate Sir David Attenborough's 90th birthday. Komodo dragons are classed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, and ZSL supports a conservation project in Flores that is run by the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria. This project maintains and protects two reserves where there are still Komodo dragon populations, working with local people to monitor the dragons there.
