Kom med bag kulissen og se dyrepasserne give hanelefanten en specialfremstillet sko på, der behandler og lindrer hans negleproblemer. Da Chieng Mai er en ældre elefant på 57 år oplever han, ligesom elefanter i naturen, et slid på negle og knogler i forbenene. Elefanters forben er nemlig ekstra belastet gennem livet grundet hovedets vægt.

Watch as the zookeepers provide the big elephant bull in Copenhagen Zoo with a specially made shoe, that treats and soothes his nail problems. As Chieng Mai is an elderly elephant of 57 years, he experiences, like elephants in the wild, wear and tear on the front leg nails and bones. Elephant’s frontlegs are extra weakened throughout the elephants life due to the heavy weight of the head and tusks.
