Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited the outer Ise Jingu Shinto shrine on Friday where they will conduct a ritual over the next two days in Mie prefecture, Central Japan, to mark the completion of enthronement ceremonies including last week's Daijosai.
The couple will visit the inner shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu tomorrow, before returning to Toyko.
