A team of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, MACC officers today called on Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at his home in Jalan Pinhorn, George Town over their probe into the purchase of his bungalow.
The 8 officers arrived at Lim's house at 3pm and left an hour later.
Chief Minister Legal Adviser Ramkarpal Singh when contacted said Lim was asked to give his statement at the Penang MACC Office earlier today.
He also said the Bagan MP went to the MACC office at 10am, adding that after he gave his statement, the MACC team followed him home to continue their investigation.
Ramkarpal also stated that Lim would not make any press statement throughout the investigation.
Also present at the chief minister's house were his lawyers R.S.N Rayer and Gobind Singh Deo.
On May 6, both Lim and his wife Betty Chew were asked to give their statements at the MACC office concerning the purchase of his below-market-price bungalow and the sale of Taman Manggis land in Jalan Zainal Abidin.
