There is nothing better than going on a holiday. Stig Ulrichsen are taking you with him to the places he has been visiting.
In this broadcast, Stig visits Rømø that is one of the Danish Wadden Sea islands in the Wadden Sea. The 128.86 km² large island has 559 inhabitants (2020). The island is located approx. 10 km out in the North Sea, and is connected to the mainland by the Rømø dam. Rømø was previously part of Skærbæk Municipality, but after the structural reform in 2007 became part of Tønder Municipality. The Wadden Sea around Rømø is protected, as it is part of the large National Park Wadden Sea. With the opening of the Rømø Dam in 1948 and the Port of Rømø in 1964, the new times began on Rømø. Today, the people of Rømø subsist on tourism and industrial fishing. Watch the video and listen to Maarten Jansen's beautiful song "Home" while you are watching. Remember to add playlist for "My Favorite Holiday Places" and get inspiration for your next holiday. #Rømø #Denmark #LoveHolidays #myHoliday #ILoveTravel #LoveToTravel #HolidayPlaces #Vacation #Summer #travel
