30th July, 2016 :
After completing the last part of our Norway and Denmark visit we started early morning by train from Copenhagen to Lucerne in Switzerland. There was a ferry from Redby in Denmark to Puttagarden , Germany , in which our train was loaded and we crossed the Channel. At Puttagarden the train disembarked from the ship and we went on our journey to Switzerland. We reached Lucerne in the morning of 31st July and went to our hotel IBIS budget.
31st July :
We left our luggage in the hotel and proceeded to Montreaux station to catch our Golden pass train. We had our breakfast in Montreaux and then boarded the Golden Express train. Our Golden Pass train was “Chemin de fer Montreux–Oberland Bernois (MOB)” between Montreux and Zweisimmen. The Classic train has Belle Epoque coaches with a historical luxurious atmosphere. We had wonderful view of Lake Geneva along the way. Then we proceeded to a tunnel that leads to Les Avants. We went through Gstaad town and then to the highest point of the entire Golden Pass line near Saanenmöser. We got down at Zweisimmen. Then we took a train to Lucern.
1st August :
We went to Stans from Lucerne by train and from Stanserhorn station we took wooden funicular wagons to the Kälti intermediate station. From there we boarded the CabriO cable car to the Summit station. We spent some time there , had some snacks in the restaurant and then proceeded back to Lucerne via Stans. We took the boat cruise in Lucerne lake for an hour and then we went to the Lion monument.
