In 1956, six British men made it to Singapore in a Land Rover, six months after setting off from London. They called it "The First Overland" expedition, and it was the very first time anyone had made the journey by vehicle. Now, over 60 years later, they are recreating it, this time in reverse. The Land Rover will depart on Aug 25 from the F1 Pit in Marina Bay. The current expedition is called "The Last Overland", a nod to the name of the initial one. The team is expected to arrive back in London 100 days after setting off.
