Effective 01st August
1. All arriving passengers have to install “EHTERAZ” application on their cell phones.
2. Passengers arriving from Low-Risk Countries
• Will be required to do a PCR test upon arrival at airport
• Sign a commitment for one-week self-quarantine
• Will proceed to one of the accredited health centres by the end of the one week self-quarantine to do the PCR test and according to the test result, passengers will then follow the rest of procedures published on the Ministry of Public Health website.
• List of Low Risk Countries: Brunei, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Malta, Finland, Hungary, South Korea, Estonia, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Japan, Cyprus, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Morocco, Poland, France, Australia, Canada, Slovenia, Belgium, United Kingdom, Czechia, Austria, Switzerland, Algeria, Turkey, Iceland, Spain, Croatia, Andorra,
• Exemption: Passenger will be exempted from the PCR test upon arrival in case he is carrying a (COVID-19) Disease-Free certificate from an accredited medical centre from the country of his departure, provided that the date of this certificate does not exceed 48hours prior to travel time, then rest of above mentioned procedure to be followed.
3. Passengers from other countries and do not have accredited medical centres for COVID-19 test,
• Must book a quarantine hotel for one week thorough “Discover Qatar” website, prior to arrival.
• Will do a PCR test on day six of the Hotel Quarantine and according to the test result, passengers will then follow rest of procedures published on the Ministry of Public Health website.
• Exception: In case the person is carrying a (COVID-19) Disease-Free certificate from an accredited medical centre from the country of his departure, provided that the date of this certificate do not exceed 48 hours prior to the travel time, and that arriving passengers will be committed to one-week self quarantine under same conditions as passengers coming from low-risk countries
4. For Qatari Nationals, their spouses, their husbands, their children, and holders of permanent residency holders;
• They can freely travel and return at any time, provided they are following the above mentioned instructions according to the country they are coming from.
• Passengers subject to the above mentioned condition of Hotel Quarantine will be exempted from bearing the cost of the Hotel, in case they are having overseas medical treatment at state expenses, same their registered companions, as well as officials on duty travels, since their sponsors will duly bear the hotel cost.
With reference to Residents
• They are allowed to return effective 01st August 2020, by getting a Return Permit through “Qatar Portal”
5. Passengers requiring self-quarantine (Home Quarantine)
• Ministry of Public Health had identified categories of passengers that are requiring self-quarantine, regardless of country of arrival, these categories are published through the Ministry of Public Health website.
