Cape Verde is a group of islands off the coast of Africa. Jews fleeing the Portuguese Inquisition settled there. In the 19th century they were joined by Jews from Morocco.

Carol Castiel of the Cape Verde Jewish Heritage Project will tell us what is being done to preserve the memory of the community and revive Jewish life.
