SEV’s new Wind Turbines in Tórshavn.
The project of building 13 new wind turbines in Húsahagi a few kilometres northwest of the Faroese capital Tórshavn, which began in November 2013, is going as planned. The access roads to the turbines are completed in despite of windy weather, rain and snow. The next step is the foundations under the turbines.
The wind turbines in Húsahagi are a big step forward in SEV’s green direction. The new wind farm will put SEV in a position to produce 60 per cent of the Faroese demand for electricity based on hydro and wind power.
