UCD Health Affairs with the assistance of the Dean of Students office have worked together to produce this information video with questions and answers session on COVID-19 and vaccination.
Speakers include:
Dr Karina Butler - UCD Clinical Professor of Paediatrics, Consultant Paediatrician and Infectious Diseases Specialist at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin and Temple Street Children's University Hospital. A former president of the Infectious Diseases Society of Ireland (2018-2020), Dr Butler chairs the National Immunisation Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and is Chair of PENTA Foundation UK. Appointed to the National Public Health Emergency Team in late 2020, she is also a member of the COVID-19 Expert Advisory Group of the Health Information and Quality Authority.
Dr Cathal O'Broin - Consultant in Infectious Diseases at St Vincent's University Hospital. Dr O'Broin is the clinical lead for the COVID Assessment Hub and a member of NIAC as well as lecturing in infectious diseases and global health in UCD.
Dr Nuala O Connor - Irish College of General Practitioners Clinical Lead for COVID-19. Dr O Connor is also the GP lead on the HSE Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Prevention and Control team AMRIC.
