Located along the Formentor Peninsula in the northern tip of the Mallorca, Playa de Formentor is a lovely blue-flag beach with calm, gentle waters lapping the shore of a 1km crescent of fine sand fringed by pines.

With a large jetty for tour boats, a souvenir shop, restaurant, and hotel, this beach is a popular and busy destination. Parking is available, although it is quite expensive and spaces are limited.

Der Playa de Formentor liegt an der Halbinsel Formentor an der Nordspitze Mallorcas und ist ein schöner Strand mit blauer Flagge und ruhigem, sanftem Wasser, das das Ufer eines 1 km langen, von Pinien gesäumten, feinen Sandes umspült.

Mit einem großen Anlegesteg für Ausflugsboote, einem Souvenirladen, einem Restaurant und einem Hotel ist dieser Strand ein beliebtes und geschäftiges Ziel. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, allerdings recht teuer und die Plätze sind begrenzt.

Situada a lo largo de la península de Formentor en el extremo norte de Mallorca, la Playa de Formentor es una hermosa playa de bandera azul con aguas tranquilas y suaves que bañan la orilla de una media luna de arena fina de 1 km bordeada de pinos.

Con un gran embarcadero para botes turísticos, una tienda de recuerdos, un restaurante y un hotel, esta playa es un destino popular y concurrido. Hay aparcamiento disponible, aunque es bastante caro y los espacios son limitados.

Platja de Formentor beach walking tour in Mallorca, Spain. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It has a blue flag, the water is super clean, spectacular views.

+ The water is crystal clear blue, very clean
+ No waves
+ The air is fresh and clean
+ It’s surrounded by a beautiful wilderness area full of pine trees
+ It has some of the most beautiful scenery
+ Loungers with parasols and towels for a charge

- There are several resorts, hotels, beach clubs, and restaurants in the area, but quite expensive.
- Parking is not cheap, 0.05€ per minute. If you stay all day, it's quite expensive. You could try parking on the verge of the road to Formentor to avoid paying the tariffed car park.
- Very busy beach in high season
- Narrow road, winding, and little parking.

It's definitely worth visiting!
