Upon receiving notice from highway authorities, that his home would be razed in order to widen the Mysuru-Bengaluru highway, a Mandya farmer has chosen to move it instead. Bearing a cost of Rs 32 lakh, Mallikarjuna Konanahalli has commissioned a Haryana firm to physically lift and shift his dream home that he built in 2014. Over a 90-day operation, Konanahalli’s two-story home will be moved 45 feet behind and 25 feet left from its original position.
